Let me go off on this Tangent....
No really, I'm talking about this new desktop PC by Tangent, the Evergreen 17. It's an ultra slim, touch screen, "green" PC that uses a fraction of the energy of a traditional desktop. It includes a Via Eden or Via C7 processor, an optional no-moving-parts solid state drive, spindle drives from 60 to 250GB, memory up to 2GB, weighs just 15.8 pounds, and starts at $1,195.
Something like this seems like a pretty smart solution if you're looking for ways to reduce the energy consumption of your district, especially if you use a whole lot of computers, which is most districts of course. And the all-in-one design is really nice, no mess of cables, easy to pick up and move if need be, and with the touch screen, at this price (HP's similar new TouchSmart, for example, will run you $1299 and up) it looks like a pretty good deal to me.
